Spatial Installation Art: Yeojoo Park

Led by Yeojoo Park (MFA, UCL Slade School of Fine Art). Exploring the boundaries between architecture, radiant light refraction, and perceptual thresholds. Discover the historical artwork that inspired the name TNG (The Ninth Gate).

The Triumphal Gate & The Ninth Gate

Through structural architectural gates clad in dichroic radiant light films and calibrated illumination, Yeojoo Park transforms passage into an act of sensory awakening.

Origin of TNG (The Ninth Gate): First conceived in 2010 with ancient stone arches and a 500W tungsten floodlight, The Ninth Gate represents the transition between the tangible physical world and ethereal human perception—serving as the foundational philosophy behind TNG Lab.

The Infinite Bridge

Spanning physical divide with kaleidoscopic mirror reflections and prismatic dispersion. Spectators crossing the bridge become immersed in an infinite spectrum of light that dissolves the boundary between architecture and sky.

Medium: Radiant film, mirror-finish stainless steel, natural daylight
Spatial Experience: Interactive optical continuum reflecting viewer movement

Magic Hour & Optical Environments

From the acclaimed Magic Hour installation at the Sulwhasoo Flagship architectural facade to the color-temperature chambers of Red & Green Tunnel, Yeojoo Park orchestrates twilight sensations and psychological spatial depth.

AI-Assisted Spatial Curation: TNG Lab utilizes Claude 3.5 to simulate visitor sightlines, sunlight glare trajectories, and atmospheric color temperature transitions for municipal public art commissions.
